There are four prominent visa streams in the Business Innovation and Investment-provisional/subclass 188 visa to choose from.

188A visa (Business and Innovation stream)- This visa is for experienced and successful business owners or investors who want invest in new or existing business in Australia or make designated investment in Australia State or Territory government bonds.

General eligibility requirements:

· Must own a business with an annual turnover of not less than AUD 75,000 for at least two years in the last four years; and

· Net personal and business assets of at least AUD 1,250, 000

· Be under 55 years of age

· Secure at least 65 points in the Business innovation and investment Points test

188B (Investor Stream) — This business visa Australia is a four-year temporary visa that requires you to maintain the investment for at least four years. The visa leads to permanent residency through the Business Innovation & Investment (Residence) Subclass 888 visa.

General eligibility requirements:

· The applicant must be holding business and personal net assets of at least AUD 2.5 million for the last two years.

· Must be under 55 years of age, unless exempted

· The applicant be willing to make a complying investment

· Have three years of experience either managing a qualifying business or “eligible investments”, or have high levels of management skill.

Subclass 188 C (Significant Investor Stream) — This five-year temporary 188 visa Australia is for investors who are willing to invest AUD$5 million into a complying investment fund and wish to maintain investment activities in Australia. Applicants can be nominated by a state or territory government or Austrade on behalf of the Australian government.

General eligibility requirements:

· Have a complying significant investment of at least AUD5 million when invited to apply for the visa.

· The amount can be invested in the following proportions:

AUD 1 million in venture capital and growth private equity funds

AUD 1.5 million in approved managed funds.

A ‘balancing investment’ of at least AUD2.5 million in managed funds.

Entrepreneur Stream- The pathway is for entrepreneurs who have support (funding agreement from a third party for at least AUD200 000) from a selected Service Provider to undertake a complying entrepreneurial activity in Australia.

General eligibility requirements:

· Must be nomination by a state or territory government

· Demonstrate competent English language skills

· Under 55 Years of age
